On May 18, 1988, Joe Hobby squinted into the bright lights and stepped on the stage of a comedy club for the first time, his crib notes taped to a beer bottle and the audience laughed. Years later, they’re laughing harder than ever - and he even got rid of the crib notes.

Since that first night, Joe progressed rapidly. He won the Birmingham Comedy Competition, and then began honing his skills at comedy clubs and colleges. Television appearances on TNN and Comedy Central followed.

His clean style of humor has made Joe a popular after dinner speaker. He has performed at hundreds of meetings, parties, and luncheons.

Joe is also a talented writer.  For almost 25 years, he wrote jokes for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Now he’s a blogger, and a syndicated columnist for several newspapers and magazines.
